Vegan skincare is skincare that does not include any animal byproduct ingredients. Only plant-based products are used in vegan skincare. Cruelty-free skincare means that animals were not harmed nor tested on during the production of products. The final product and ingredients are not tested on animals in order for it to be cruelty-free. A product can be vegan because it does not include any animal byproduct ingredients but can be considered not cruelty-free because the product/ingredients could have been tested on animals.
